We have a problem, we are working with grafic design and we have just taken on indesign. It seems that when we import the logo´s (made in illustrator)it look´s good on the screen but when we print it out they look really bad, we are using a normal hp-printer (not a professional) could this be the problem? and how do we resolve it? because sometimes a smalll amount of product sheets must be printed and we won´t bring it to proffesionals. So is it something we can do ??? save it diferently, import it or export it ??? please help us.....

When you print, check all of your print settings. Make sure that your LPI is set to around 120 and your output quality is set to Maximum or something like that. Im not sure of the exact names but make sure all the "quality" type settings are set to max. Hope that helps.

You may also encounter a problem printing to a PCL (non-postscript) printer. ...although ID is very forgiving with PCL printers.

If in doubt, create a PDF and print from Acrobat. Acrobat Reader can get complex postscript to display well on PCL printers.
