Dear All :
When I login to the system, I used a wrong username by mistake while login , the system keep asking me for the password without giving me the chance to re-enter the user again ..

How can I change this behaviour to force the system re-asking me again for the user and the password not only the password ...

example :

if enter the user and the password as following with wrong username
username : tets
password : *******

the system return :
wrong username or password..
password :

without giving me the chance to re-enter the user again

Could you tell us the operating system (I'm assuming Linux, but just making sure) and distribution/version/flavor? And how/where are you trying to login? At the console, via ssh, or some other service? I haven't got anything on my Fedora Core 2 box (that I'm aware of) that will let you keep entering passwords forever like that. Just trying to get an idea of what applications are involved.

Are you using console (text mode, I mean) to login? What happening if you press “enter” a few times without giving the password repeatedly?

Text Mode ..
