Login Script

i have a login script that everyone uses and maps drives to shared folders even if they do not have access to them.

(i have never written a login script before)

i would like to map the drives on a group basis, can this be done

also i would like to copy some files from the network onto clients harddrives (access frontends), i would like to add this to a script as well

can anyone help me here

i am also looking at Scriptlogic, knowing my company they will buy it though

This is simple... I would download KixTart from

Kixtart is a Windows logon scritping language that allows you to perform the types of tasks you are talking about. It is very easy to learn and implement. You can install it on your domain controllers and develope test scripts without even rebooting your server. Kixtart is used widely throughout the industry...and its free.

Search tek-tips for Kixtart, I'm sure you'll find some sample scripts that I've posted in the past.
