Hi all,

I'm having problem with my resources access. If i logged in using my domain login, i can't set anything like TCP/IP setting, sharing, etc. The only way for me to do all that is by login as administrator to my local PC (windows NT 4.0). Then i have to re-login to my domain again to continue my work using my LAN resources.

Why can't I login at my domain and being able to control my PC resources as a local administrator login?

Maybe because the local administrator user to your workstation is not recognised by the authenticating server on the domain.

In other words, you need to be a user with administrative rights to your PC that has been setup by the domain administrator to access network resources.

I hope this helps

It may also be that your network admin is using profiles to restrict access to things like control panel. When you are logged into the network, the profile is enforced. When you are only logged in locally to your own PC, the profile is not active.
