Im using crystal reports on a web application but I get a login error if im anyone but the administrator of the network. I know that the permissions on the sql server database is fine. Im executing the program from the server it is not locally setup. Can anyone tell me what directory I might have to change permissions in in order to avoid this login issue.

Hi,
A login error when? Accessing the report or when the report tries to access the database?

Hi,
Can you connect directly to that database and access the data using the same credentials as you use in the report?

What connection method are you using?

Yes we can connect directly. Im using ADO.NET

Ive noticed when the crystal report goes to retrieve the data from the data base and the login screen appears it has the server name but not the database. The database is blank. Is this why it is not logging in. If so where do I put the database name as it does not allow me to type it in on the login form.

Hi,
Its been a while since I used an ADO connectiion through Crystal, so I cannot help a lot but I thought that the configuration section of the ADO driver for SqlServer had a space for the database you wanted to use, but maybe I'm an misrembering. Is there some particular reason you are using that method instead of a 'native' sqlserver connection which I believe is supported in CR?

When I use the connection already established for the program it does not load in crystal reports in the degugging session but when I created a new ADO connection the data loaded.
