Hi all,
Every now and then, I get this strange thing happening and I have yet to figure out why, or figure out how to get past it other than reboot. The problem is that I log in locally to the server as root, which puts me right into SCOadmin, but then after a few seconds, my session dies and kicks me out to the login screen.
This usually leaves a terminal session open, but no processes running under it. The session has a process number attached to it, but if I try to kill it I get the message that no such process exists. When I've tried to use idleout to kill it off, I also get the message that no such process exists.
If I try to log in locally to the server again, my session is assigned a different tty, but it dies after a few seconds (regardless of what I'm doing, including nothing). The original orphan remains.
Server details:
SCO 3.2 5.0.5
Any suggestions?
