I was looking into the "System Information" of one of our Dell Servers running Windows 2000 Server and found a "Problem Device". The problem device is the "Logical Disk Manager". The "PNP Device ID" is BOOT\CMIO\0000. The Error Code: 32.

I have searched Dell's Knowledgebase (and several other knowledgebases) and I cannot find an explanation of this particular error code. Does anyone have any ideas? The server is a Dell Poweredge 6450.

Things are running slower that they should on our network and I was wondering if this error message might be related.

This is just a simple thought but i do not know if you tried it. If you right click my computer and go to manage. Then go to services and logical disk manager see what it's status is (started, stopped) If started then stop and restart if stopped...start. If this helped right click the service and go to properties. Here you can tell it what to do when it fails for the first to I think the 3rd or 4th time. You can tell it to restart when it fails.

Hope this helps,

SLM
