Logging off problem

I have several people who can not log off there pc. Windows just sit there and do nothing. I have checked the domain controllor for errors I tried the tool from MS but nothing works. I can log them off b/c I am a administrator.

Has anyone else had this problem?

...what OS are the problem machines? Is it always the same machines? Do they share common apps?

OS is WindowsXP Pro and yes it appears to be the same computers with the same users. But yesterday I had a new user tell me she couldn't log off from a computer that was having this problem. It is almost like it is spreading. We are firewalled from our Corporate office and they monitor our anti virus and nothing has been reported.
