Logging into CS1000e 7.0

I am experiencing a problem that when I try to login to 2 of my accounts both CS1K's from the virtual terminal in element manager, I get only the first character echoed on the screen and the prompt keyboard interactive authentication then password. The customer can login from their workstation. I googled Keyboard inter auth and did not see anything that was applicable. If I try to login from putty the response is to try to make me change the password. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

This is a problem with the new Java Rls - need to downgrade to earlier Rls.
