I have a situation in a restaurant I work at where an individual is creating tables on squirrel, logging in as another server, pulling the table over and settling it out, effectively stealing tips. Management claims that the system does not log who creates a table and who transfers it. Is this true and if these things are logged, how do you go about accessing the information?

Squirrel does keep track of transfers. It depends on which version of Squirrel you're using (Classic or Graphical).

I'm not exactly sure how it's done with Classic, but in Graphical (1.x) you go into "Reports" ..."Online Reports"..."Transfers" Enter in the date/time period you want to examine, and the report returns any transfers that occurred...who the table was transferred from, who the table was transferred to, and who executed the transfer.

I'll check with someone I know about the Classical method.

This is not being done with TRANSFER, but with + TABLE

+ TABLE is used to take possession of a table.

If you go into system setup, you can disable this feature, however, it would disable this for everyone.

How about chaning the ID #'s so that they can't logon as another server? I'm willing to bet that everyone just leaves their cards lying around or shares their ID #'s.

Or permanently assign sections.....requires an "operational adjustment" to the way you handle tables....but how much are you losing to theft?
