Log Files

We have about 2 GB of log files in MDBDATA I have moved these files over to another directory, so im guessing we dont need these files? but it is making up to 20 5mb .log files a day is there something wrong? also do we need these files.

priv1.stm 120MB
pub1.stm 14MB
priv1.edb 340MB
tmp.edb 3MB
pub1.edb 98MB
e00.chk 8KB
then of course the log files E*******.log 5MB

priv1.edb & pub1.edb sounds like someone in the past had renamed the old information store files, and kept them as a backup. not sure about the others though.
You need the E*******.log files, but when you back up, you should back these up with proper Exchange backup software so that the ones that are not current will get deleted.
