Open Event Viewer, from Log menu select Application, from Log menu (again) select Clear All Events... Decided whether or not you want to save the entries in the log, then on the nexxt pop-up click yes to clear the log. If you aren't concerned with entries in the log, from the Log menu select Log Settings... then select one of the options to Overwrite events.
