Hi all,

I am maintaining and upgrading software that is written in Clipper Summer'87 2am build to VFP8 (multi user). Since they do not mutually respect each others record/file locks I have to write and replace all the apps at once.

Question is: If I compile my legacy apps in xHarbour will this fix the record/file locking incompatibility so I could do a more piecemeal rewrite?

TIA,

Mike

Hi,

xHarbour has a special VFP compatibility setting built-in to the DBFCDX RDD. Search the xHarbour NG for details.

Btw.: This question has been answered in formentioned NG before...

Hi TohHu,

DBFCDX eventually led me to the answer. Many thanks.

FWIW the locking is compatible.

Regards,

Mike
