Hi.

Did you know....?

If you issue a begin transaction, you cannot lock and unlock records on the fly. You have to wait until the transaction has been ended !!!!!

Unless anybody can tell me different.

This is for version 6.0

Cheers

When a transaction starts with 'BEGIN TRANSACTION', this shall be ended with 'END TRANACTION' or a 'ROLLBACK'.
The records rewritten or deleted or added (processed) will not be available to any other user and so locking the very same records is not possible by other users. SO make sure that the begin.. end transaction loop is as small a time as possible and never allow any user interaction between the loop. This will help in safeguarding the data base and also not closing the gates for other users.

Hope this helps ramani :-9
