A client of mine was working is a access database when the power on his laptop shut off. When he rebooted and tried to access the DB again, he receives an error stating that multiple users are logged into the DB. How can he release or disconnect the other user? Any help is appreciated!

Thanks

If nobody is connected to the database you may consider to delete the .ldb file.

Hope This Helps, PH.

Here is the exact error:

Microsoft Jet Database engine stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same date at the same time.

Or, could be a phamtom message, that means nothing other than the database is corrupt. Take steps to Compact/Repair. If that fails, attempt to use the external Compact/Repair utility, or import all objects into a new MDB. And, if tat all fails, restore from a backup copy. I hope, you employ a good backup strategy...
