Locked Database?

Give us a clue,

I got a load of pages accessing an Access db and I always seem to have a ldb file after running a test.

All recordsets have close statements in them, only thing I can think of is a redirect maybe occurs before the close statement, but I dont think this is the case.

Any one got any other clues as to why this happens?

There is a useful file that Microsoft's Knowledge Base put up for some insight into the .ldb file. It's here, if it'a of any use:

I have found that the same happens, but the lbd file times out after a certain amount of time following .close of the recordset. Don't know why it should persist.

i've had it happen before, usually it will delete after a few seconds of the database closing. but if you have ud4 open onto a website that uses that database, you can't do many functions with the database.

however if ud4's closed, access is closed and the ldb file remains - first check to see what programs are running (I've had UD4 be closed - but still running). you can safely delete the .ldb file. Now this is a no brainer - but double check you havnt selected the mdb file!
