Lock a Picture in word XP

* Right-click on the picture and choose FORMAT PICTURE
* Click on the LAYOUT tab
* Click ADVANCED
* Under TEXT WRAPPING, choosing anything other than IN LINE WITH TEXT (depending on your needs)
* Click on the PICTURE POSITION tab
You can now lock the horizontal and vertical position of your picture as it relates to the page (or a paragragh, column, etc.)
