Is there a way to lock a form in a database? I have a database application .mdb file that my predeccessor created. My problem is that when I go to the forms or reports page, I can not create a new one or get to the design of the existing one. How do I turn this off??? Please help!!!

Is there Access security being used with this application? If so, you will need to log on as Administrator and give yourself access.

If not, are you sure that you are using an MDB and not MDE?

Just a thought.

It is a mdb file. There is security being used, but I am un-familiar with Access security. There is no prompt to login or anything in this database application. Can you help please?

Go to Tools, Security, User and Group permissions.

Select your form from the Object Name list, then see which permissions it has.

I go there and look. There is 1 user set up and that is Admin. Admin has all the permissions for everything. Can I just turn the security off somehow??
