Recently we have been restaging a lot of machines. I was wondering is there one location where the drivers are located so that we could burn the directory before starting the restage. I thought that the system32\drivers folder would be the location in a windows xp machine but when we copied the folder and tried to detect hardware, it came up with nothing.

I have tried to search the web but have not been able to come up with anything. Perhaps its not possible but if there were a way to copy all the drivers and then, after the restage point to that location to install all the hardware it would be great.

TIA

The inf folder is another place but you should really be asking this question in the OS forums 'cause it's not really a hardware issue.

What do you mean by 'restage'? (is this a clean reinstall of operating system?).

For drivers not provided by MS, you generally need to original driver package when reinstalling, not the 'where the drivers are stored in windows'.
