Ok here goes. I am not the most experienced person for this but it has been deemed my responsibility. The person who set up our network is no longer with my company and I now look after the IT side of things. Our domain was setup using our .com address with a variation. xyz.company.com. I know this is a big no no but I can't simply change our domain name at this time. I have read multiple posts about how to get around my problem but each post varies from our setup here. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction so I can get on with my life.

When a local computer on our domain enters in our server IP into Internet Explorer, 192.168.1.1 it routes to our site. I need to stop that because it is throwing our webstats off on a monthly basis. I am going to be setting up a internal local stored website (with the help of other people) so we can get a more acurate reading on our public site.

I need to know where I can delete, stop, or add the setting(s) that will either point the entry to the location of the local stored site or stop it from going out entirely when a employee enteres the local internal server IP. I have looked into the DNS and routing and cannot see where it is set to do this. I am hoping it is something that I could just re-route to the local stored site (eg g:\ drive) instead of going out to the internet.

I thank everyone in advance for their input!

Ya it is definately in the IIS. I stopeed the service for the default website and that stopped it from going out. I will play some more in here. I couldn't find it in DNS and didn't know where to look other than that.

Thanks for the info!
