I have setup up everything correctly, as far as I can determine. But when I need to assign a domain user to a local user group (Power Users) so that a program can be run under their logon, it say the domain controller cannot be located and errors out.

Any ideas?

Yes, the computer and the user are setup and members of the domain and I see the server fine, and I see the user list, but when I try adding, there is a problem.

Thanks. Jason Wilder

Jason,

Sounds like DNS settings ? Is DNS setup correctly.
Has the client got a DNS server assigned to it either via DHCP or statically.

Cheers

If you just put the user in Domain users does this still happen? I cant imagine it is the group itself, that error is typically DNS,WINS,or hardware related.

Good Luck
