loading ext .swf from scrolling text 1

Good Morning,
Can I load external .swf files from a scrolling textbox that is formatted to HTML by simply using the a href tag? I assume it's best to have the external .swf files in same folder as the .html?

You can, but you'll need to use a call to an asfunction along with the the a href tag, which will in fact handle the loading...

Hi, I want a toggle that will play a simple movie if it's not playing, and stop the same simple movie if it is playing.

We haven't learned yet how to use movie clips, so I just have my button on the main timeline and my main movie on the main timeline with frame labels.

Is this possible to do without using movie clips, in A/S 2? or any version of Flash and A/S?
