I have a tab delimited flat file. If I open the file in excel it loads all the rows into only one tab (worksheet). I want to load the data into two different tabs. For example if I have 20 rows in the flat file, I want the first 10 to go into one tab named AM1 and the remaining 10 rows to go into second tab named AM2. Is there anything I need to include in the flat file, after 10th row, so that excel loads the remaining rows (11 to 20) into another tab. Is is also possible to name the tabs like AM1 and AM2.

Any ideas..?

Thanks in advance

I want Excel to do it automatically...

Thanks in advance

Sorry, Excel has no native functionality to do that automatically. That's what macros are for.

Turn on your macro recorder and record doing what I suggested.

Post back with your recorded code and you'll get some help on the next step.
