LOAD with identity problem

i'm working Sybase ASE 11.9.2
I create a table with an identity field
I insert values
I dump the database
I reload the database. when I try to insert new values, there is a gap in the identity column.
Does anybody knows a workaround in this version. Is this bug fixed in 12.0? 12.5 beta?
