Hi

Just wondering what the options for load blancing Terminal Server are? I'm considering NLB (with or without session dir) but was wondering if I can do something more elegant using clustering?

NLB balances only on network load. Can I build a 2003 cluster and use it to balance load across a few terminal servers, based on CPU, memory, number of sessions, etc?

Can anyone recommend a hardware load balancer?

Regards
Simon

Cisco and foundry both have load ballancers built into there switches and routers. BigIP also makes a good load ballancer. These all use number of sessions however.

NLB will work just as well as a hardware solution for TS.

I'd recommend staying away from clustering. Clustering isn't designed to spread the load. It's designed to make a server redundant. NLB is the way to go here.
