Hello.
We have a citrix farm which has 3 citrix servers.
We want to have an ica file on the desktop that the users will launch and log in with to run their application. How is the load balancing done in the ica file?

right now in the ica file there is just the one IP entry:
Address=x.x.x.x:1494

Thanks in advance!

Dara

Is your Data Collector part of the published application .ica file?

If it's not, use that IP address and when a client requests a connection, it should point them to the correct server!

I "think" that should work!
Carl.

You set this up in Citrix Console Manager.
You publish an App or Desktop, define which servers will be used.

Set one client up correctly to connect to the new published App. When you are happy with the settings, copy the
\%USERPROFILE%\Application Data\ICA Client\ AppSrv.ini & pn.Ini to; either every userprofile (local machine) needing access to Citrix or overwrite the AppSrv.src and Pn.src also the Appsrv.ini and Pn.src (4) files in your Client Installation folder and force client updates from Client Distribution Tool

Hope this helps
Regards ACO
