Hi,
I have a little problem, I have a Sun-Fire-480 I need to remotely upgrade from Solaris 8 to Solaris 9.

Im using Solaris Liveupgrade when I am doing this.

I have copied the contents of my Solaris 9 cd 1 and cd 2 on a disk. But when I am trying to upgrade it, it fails to find the install media.

Do any of you know how to copy the cd's content and upgrade it from disk instead of using the cd's?

I have also tried remotely mount a cd-rom where I am currently at. But that dont work either.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

I found one way to do this. But this will take a while, but atleast it is working. When I am copying the contents, do I need to copy from all the "slices"?.

share -F nfs /cdrom/sol_9_905_sparc/s0
share -F nfs /cdrom/sol_9_905_sparc/s1
share -F nfs /cdrom/sol_9_905_sparc/s2
share -F nfs /cdrom/sol_9_905_sparc/s3
share -F nfs /cdrom/sol_9_905_sparc/s4
share -F nfs /cdrom/sol_9_905_sparc/s5

Basicly I shared out all the slices , and mounted them the same way on the server, and it worked fine.
