the bad battery inticator is solid green on my battery supply. When I do a self test it comes back on. Is this a problem waiting to happen?

mikey,

that's strange, i've had completely opposite experience with upses. i always recommend my customers to use powerware and avoid apc at all costs. what made you got rid of powerware (avaya) ones?

I like the management cards and the technical support. APC's technical support group is second to none. I have about 10 different types of these and have little to no problems. The old powerware units we had didn't hold up very well.

mikey,

really interesting. in a list of pros and cons, i don't think a technical support would give me any benefit in our part of the world. :) however, some very trusted people here did have bad experience with apc units and not one time so i decided to avoid it just in case. never heard of any problems with powerware or liebert ones...

I think this boils down to what we both just said. You have good experience with those and I have good experience with these. One of those Coke and Pepsi things. Just depends on what you like or hear is good you go with them until you loose you taste for them.
