I have several people using a frontend to add tables into a common backend. By putting a link to the backend's MSysObjects table in the frontend, everyone can see what's currently in the backend, even if some of the tables aren't linked to their copy of the frontend.

I looked through the FAQs and keyword searched, and I don't think anyone has pointed this out. Just turn on "Tools-Options-HiddenObjects" and use the link table wizard.

JIC anyone wonders "WHY are you having several users add tables to the backend?" (which is a good question), we are gathering everyone's contacts into one big agency-wide contact list. They come in with all kinds of holes, duplications, inconsistencies, and just plain errors. The backend in question holds the tables until they can be cleansed and uploaded to the main db.

thread705-480950 is related to this in some extent...

Oh, crumbs! I meant to say "Tools-Options-System Objects." Sorry for any confusion.

BTW, DanVlas, I never checked the "Access Modules (VBA Coding)" forum for threads because this technique doesn't require any coding! But, thanks for the cross-reference anyway. I added a response to the thread cross-referencing this "No-code" answer.
