I have a number of list boxes on a form. These listboxes are visible/enabled at different times. It appears from time to time that the Click procedure is not called, when clicking the list box.

I have put this down to the area of the list box which is clicked. It appears to on side of the list box does not respond. The other side does. I believe the clcik is being stopped by something being present above the list box. Although nothing is visible.

Is this possible? I'm convince this appears to be the problem. If so how can I get over this problem?

By the way when in design mode should I cut the listbox then paste it back that list box always works. This, I believe because it is above anything else on that form. However the problem then goes to a different list box.

I cannot seem to be able to reproduce your problem.:
[ol][li]I put two listboxes one o-top of another on a form.[/li]
[li]Make the top-most one disables and invisible[/li]
[li]Put a messagebox in the second one, in the click event.[/li]
[li]Populate the second list with some items (This is required to work - if the list is empty , the click event will not trigger)[/li][/ol]The click event works if the list is populated.

Hi

Thanks for trying. However it definately happens at my end.
I've tried putting a messagebox in both listboxes. When trying to click the one which does not work no messages appear. However it definately looks like the are which will not respond to the click is in the are of the listbox which isn't visible. should I click to one side of this area the listbox I'm clcking responds to the click.

Should I click the listbox (which does not respond to a clcik) my selected area does change. IE the selected line is red. Should I drag up the list box the red are changes thus indicating the selected line. Nevetheless I cannot click the item in the same area where I can drag the item.
Once again though should I click to the right of the item the clcik procedure is called.

Hi

Thanks for the suggestion. I have just given that a go and I get the same result.

Thanks for trying though.

If you do a Ctrl-A (select all) do you see anything 'above' the list box?
How about selecting the list box and clicking on "Format->Bring to front". Does that indicate a layering problem?
