Have an interesting error.

Designing a new form.

Grabbed the combo box from the tool bar and dropped it on the form.

Immediately got an error message from access stating:

"you can only run one instance of the Combo box wizard at a time".

Tried with the list box as well, got similar error:

"you can only run one instance of the List box wizard at a time".

I closed my project .mdb and opened another .mdb database, tried to drop a combo and list box on a form and got the same error.

I then rebooted my computer, still have the same error.

Does anyone have any Ideas?

I am running Access 2000, operating system is XP home edition. The combo and list box wixards were working fine on this computer last week when I last used it.

Thanks for any ideas (searched microsoft already and could not find anything)

I have not seen this type of problem.

If I were in your shoes, I would consider
- Install the newest service pack for Office 2000 SP3
- Run Office update from their auto update site...
- File scan to repair file
- Re-install Office, or remove Access and re-isntall it. (Note: You will have to re-install service packs and such)

It seems to me that the system thinks the wizard is running, perhaps a registry entry, akin to an open file problem. Since this is a flag for a wizard, it is more difficult to pin-point.
