LINUX ROUTING

Hi Guys,

I have a question about Linux routing that doesn't seem to be documented anywhere. To begin with, I have a PII machine running Mandrake Linux 8.1 (kernel 2.4.8), with two interfaces (eth0 and eth1). Eth0 connects directly to a cable modem and the Internet, eth1 is configured as IP 192.168.0.1 and connects to a hub. I have been running IP Masquerading with IP tables and rc.firewall for almost a year now, and it has been performing perfectly.

Now I have added another Interface eth2 to the gateway computer IP 192.168.10.1 the purpose is to setup a DMZ for an apache web server. Eth2 is connected to the web server computer via a cross-over cable. From the web server at 192.168.10.2 I can ping the gateway, but I cannot ping out to the Internet.

I figure this has to be something of a routing issue, packet forwarding, etc. but I'm stuck and haven't been able to locate any documentation that takes Linux routing past the basics of one private network. I use Webmin for most of my configuration work, and although Webmin has a module for routing, it isn't at all clear as to what values to enter, in what boxes. So Webmin just added to the confusion in this case.

What do I need to do to establish Internet connectivity for my new subnet?

Thanks so much, in advance, for your help.
