linux Ethernet Conection not working

Hi all,

I can´t connect to my local network using
system-config-network (visual X-Gnome)
in Red Hat Linux Enterprise 4 AS

I can´t ping router´s default gateway, 192.168.1.1

Which command could I use to find out what´s going wrong?

Any idea is welcome, thanks
