Hi, I'm a total newbye in using VPN.

I'm trying to connect to a cisco VPN server with vpnclient for linux, from behind a TELINDUS 1124 ADSL router.

The connection seems ok:

[root@firewall mnt]# vpnclient connect XXX
Cisco Systems VPN Client Version 4.0.3 (B)

Client Type(s): Linux
Running on: Linux 2.4.20-8 #1 Thu Mar 13 17:54:28 EST 2003 i686

Initializing the VPN connection.
Contacting the gateway at 111.222.333.444
Negotiating security policies.
Securing communication channel.
Your VPN connection is secure.

VPN tunnel information.
Client address: 192.168.100.25
Server address: 111.222.333.444
Encryption: 168-bit 3-DES
Authentication: HMAC-MD5
IP Compression: None
NAT passthrough is inactive
Local LAN Access is disabled

but I can't do any networking with the remote PC.

Everything works fine when I use a windows client connecting directly with a dialup modem.

Does anybody know which could be the problem?

Thanks in advance.

This is just an idea, but see if your TELINDUS 1124 ADSL router supports IPSec Pass Through. If it does, make sure it's enabled...

hope that helps.

this thing will make me crazy....

I was giving up when it started working, and it lasted for a morning.

I was working on the firewall , but I'm sure I have every version of the iptables script, and now it doesn't work with anyone.

I think it is just a routing problem.

Do I have to set the router someway to make it work properly?
