Linux and Duron

I want to buy a Duron Processor and somebody say me that some problem can appear if i put it under Linux.
Have you ever see a problem like that

There are no problems I am aware of. Tom's Hardware Guide ( routinely does linux kernal compilations to benchmark processors including the duron. I have several customers (and one tech working for me) who run linux on various AMD processors including Duron.
