links folder 1

hi please could some one help me with my prob, i have disabled the links folder in ie, so it does not load when i access ie but after i have executed ie a few times it shows up again, i know this is a silly one but i like to keep my pc spic and span at all times, could anyone assist me in this prob, i have tried various ways suggested by tektip members but it has not cured the prob, i am running xp home edition thank you for all your help on here
