Links broken in half in emails?

When I receive long URL's in my email they break down into 2 lines and this seems to break the link so I have to click half the link and copy and paste the other half, it looks like this:<This is not a real link>

Ideas on how to fix this?
Is there a way to increase the colum width of you mail?
I use outlook 2002 and windows 2000
