We have an Access database linked to a backend SQL database. Can we create another Access database and link to the prior Access database? We want to setup a form/menu so people can run reports from the first Access database but didn't want to give them access to this database.

SQL -> Access (Reports) -> Access (Form/Menu)

Thanks,

dp

Why do you need to link the two databases? Wouldn't it work better if you linked the two separately to the data:

SQL -> Access (Form/Menu1)
SQL -> Access (Reports/Menu2)

The first link contains numerious queries/reports. We wanted to provide a menu for accessing these but wanted to exclude this from the first linked Access database. We could build the menu in the first linked database but didnt' want to do this. From a performance issue I can't say our original intention is advisable but wasn't sure if it was even doable.
