When I compile I get errors relating to unidentified data types: LPDIRECTINPUT7 and LPDIRECTINPUTDEVICE7. These data types are used to interface to a joystick I'm using on my Win2k system.
I have gotten rid of this before but had to reinstall VS 6.0 on a new machine and I get them again.
Before all I did was install SDK 7 and in VS under Tools>Options and the Directory Tab, point to the SDK library and include directories and place those at the top.
I still get these errors after doing this process again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you had the following libraries to projet->settings under the link tab in the Object/Library modules box : dxguid.lib dinput7.lib?

This might be you problem.
