I am trying to create a report using two tables. The problem is that the field in the field in the one table has trailing spaces and the other tables does not. For example, the one table has Item ABC123 and the other table has Item ABC123 with 10 trailing spaces. If I link the tables as is, I get no records. Is there a way to create a link using a 'Trim' statement??

You cannot link tables with a formula field. You need to write 2 reports, and insert the one with the trim() formula in it as a subreport, linmked by the database field and the formula field in the second report. Software Training and Support for Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine

You could also create a view, Crystal Query, or stored procedure where you perform the link as required.
