Actually I have two questions:

1. Is it possible to link only the data of an excel file for the moment when I relink it ruins my layout?

2. Can I change the way InDesign round numbers when importing from excel? I have for example 4.468 which in Excel is depicted as 4 and comes into in Design as 5 which is quite annouying.

No its not possible, so first layout then import!

Once you style/format the imported/linked table in InDesign, it may be a good idea to break the link (embed it) so you don't accidentally relink later.
