Hi guys

I am looking a buying a second hand option 11. The guys I am getting it from have a number of cabinets. What I am hoping for is some help to identify what I need to link two of them together. I cant transfer the licensee so am looking for an older one that does not have a dongle. He has a number that have the system limits set high.

My questions are

How are the cabinets connected?
Do I cards in both cabinet for this if so what cards?
Do I need any specific software packages?
How important are the system disks?

Apart from line, extension, processor and MM cards should I be getting any others?

Thanks for your help

Mike

you may want t1 or cot (trunk) cards, the fiber connector between cab run between the ssc (processor) card (daughter board) to a fiber receiver card you may want to look up part numbers at look at the planning and engineering manuals starting with a080476..

Thanks John

But that’s not what I am after. I don’t want to use fiber, as I understand it fiber connects using a SSC processor. And doesn’t a SSC use a dongle. I need to use an older processor. The systems I am looking are running version 22 software.

Thanks for your help.

You will only be able to add 1 expansion cabinet and that is with the NTAK1204 Copper Cable. Not really sure why you don't use the later software because the dongle and software that they have should match.

Hi Hawks

Thanks what does the NTAK1204 connect to?

The reason I don’t want to use the SSC card is the system limits.
With the older systems here the system limits are not set. So on a release 22 machine I can use all available ports. The newer systems have system limits set to low for what I need. Also here you cant get a RTU transfer.
