okay eventually I'll link my option 11 to a Redcom System, before I did that, I was trying to attach it to a spare switch I had here to make sure I had the programmmin correct. Sure enough I've been at it for 2 days and most I learned is that I didn't know too much about making these trunks.

Problem 1: The cable, from what I saw of the cable layout is only 5 wires are used I'm made an amphonal cable and joined it tx tip to receive tip and tx ring to receive ring then kept ground together. Is this correct.

Problem 2:The d Channel does not want to come up, ever. my spare has the clock controller right on the card and I can get the clock card to come on however the dch light always comes up as yellow even if I use the rblk command in 60. Is that normal?

here is the common equipment, adan and route data please help

any help people have would be appreciated This is off the cabinet that is set for the slave and does not have the clock controller, dch 22 is the card that is working and is going thru a satellite where it gets it's clock from.

your software looks right, or at least close enough to work. the 25 pair amp uses 4 wires.. violot green/vilot brown pairs on the opt ll. nortel makes a 4 wire that connects to that amp and picks up those pair.. no grounds in the picture.. v/bro connects to the v/green pair.. one PAIR is transmit and one pair is rec.. in load 60 doa stat, if your copper is right, then you'll see no alarms. that sounds like your problem

Does anyone know how far this connection can be between to systems over copper? We are installing a PRI between 2 Opt 11 using a copper feed between the buildings. I fear the length is too far but can't find the specs for such a connection.

I've played with them up to a 1000 ft with no problem. Did you flip the pairs because if you are going back to back then you need to flip them. I don't have the pin out in front of me right now but I think it was T to R1, and R to T1.
