Hi,
I was wondering if anybody had any experience linking an informix 7.0 database to Microsoft Access. I want to be able to look at the structure of the informix database to determine how best to convert into SQL. I know I need ODBC drivers, but I have no idea what else it will take. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Take Care.. Merry Christmas. .

Give us more info on the Informix part . . .

Do you have to use a data mining tool to bring it into SQL?

A little more detail on what it is you have and want to do would help.

Thanks

Not sure about the data mining tool, what I can tell you is that it is running of a risc6000 box, with AIX as the OS. The version of informix is either 5.0 or 7.0 as per the directories listed on the server. I have very limited knowledge or informix, but what I would like to do is link the files to see the structure so that I may create an access database and then eventually convert the data into a SQL database. The reason I want to see the structure is to try to create the same relationships so that it is easier to convert later. Or maybe I will link the database and keep the risc box. I don't really know at this point. Thanks for the response and any help you can give me will be GREATLY appreciated. Take Care.
