I hope someone can help me with this problem. I am trying to link a .dbf file into Access 2000, but it does not have an index file and as a result does not allow me to link to the file. I've linked to this particular file before using Access 97 without the index file and had no problem with it.

Is there some type of setting that I can change to make Access 2000 NOT need an index.

I am able to link to the file through Crystal Report as well. I would like to continue using Access since I wrote an elaborate program for it already.

Thanks in Advance,
Brian :-)

the importer asks for an index file but does not demand it. Just show a null index file and it will go ahead and do your linking. I just did it.
