Linked Tables Where is the location stored

Hi All,
I have been working on my front-end system for a while and have been using linked tables to access the backend database but I now want to move the backend to another location but the fronted can't see it any more now obviously. So what I’m looking for is a way to check the backend database is available and if not lets the user selects where the system is now located thought VBA. Is this possible or do I have to link the tables again. I don’t want to have to do this as there will be multiple copies of the front end and I don’t want to be manually changing all the system’s.
