Hi All,

I've added a link on our intranet site that connects to an exe file store on our file server, when ever you click the link a screen opens asking if you want to download or open the file.

My question is: Is there any way to automaticly open the file & not give the user the option to download it?

I've tried linking to a shortcut rather than the file itself (as suggested in an old post on this forum), but no joy.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Good heavens, I hope not! While your intentions may be innocent, think of all the viruses that could propagate this way...

LTeeple,

I suppose your right, I hadn't really thought about that as it's just an internal site viewed by around 20 of my colleagues.

Thanks for taking the time.
