I have a named anchor in a frame, which i want to link to. When I link to it, only that frame opens. If I link to the frameset, it won't go to the anchor.

I don't want to use a frame jammer if I can avoid it.

can I link striaght to the anshor in the frame and still get the whole framset to open?

Hi nippi, where have you been?

You know I experienced the same problem long time ago and I created new frameset. Now I would use JavaScript.

How are your styles inside layers? Have you solved it?

Good Luck to you!

Been busy mucking about with a new camera...

Didn't solve the swap text/css/layers issue, but decided not to spend any more time on it. Did it in fireworks instead. Not quite what I wanted but it works and it will do.

The linking to anchors in frames is a pain. I can't get the framejammer extension to work and I need a solution tonight.

If you have a javascript that works... don't hesitate to fill me in.

not really Eugene.

I'm going to go diggin for a script that works.

Don't worry about it... I have PLENTY of other things I can't work out that I'll probably be relying on your large brain for help with.

I'll have to sort this one out myself.

This sounds like a similar issue to my own, about which I started a thread last week. I'd like to be included in your thoughts. Here's the text of my original message. Good luck!

"We run a villa agency ( and want to add links to our villa pages that will open a new window containing the rates for that villa. So far so good - using anchors on the main rates.html page I can produce a new sized window that opens on top of and at the top of the villa page displaying simply the row of rate information pertaining to that villa.
But without the corresponding labels that appear at the top of the main rates.html page, I cannot identify "Low Season" and "High Season".
So I figured I should build a frameset that has the labelling and other information from rates.html fixed in the top frame, and then the villa rates (also from rates.html) in the main frame. That I can do.
But how do I link to that (frameset) page AND target a particular anchor at the same time?
(Nowhere else in the site are frames used. Also, I have not yet uploaded the anchors-adapted rates.html.)
I'd appreciate some help. (Of course, what I'd really like is to be able to dynamically link a rates box on each page to rates.html....can that be done?)
Nick"
