Hi,

I have an Access database which has 2 link tables to 2 sheets on an Excel spreadsheet, this is so changes can be made to the excel spreadsheet, and then the changes are reflected on the website that uses the Access DB as a source.

This works on my machine (using personal webserver), but when i upload to the web server, it cannot find the excel spreadsheet because it is using an absolute link (looking at c:/inetpub/ etc).

Is there any way I can have it look in the same folder for the spreadsheet, or some other method to link the both of them?

Please help me.

Thanks.

Try using DBEngine.CurrentDB (I think! see access help files for exact) that will give the address of the database, then use the adress of the database + change it a bit if you need to so that a variablke points towards the excel file. This presumes that the excel files are on the same PC as the database.

Might work
