Hi

I'm working with an outbound dialer that is connected to our CS1000M MG via Line Side T1s. The dialer is having problems transferring calls offsite sometimes. They are asking for hook flash timing and disconnect guard timer settings for my PBX.

XFA is present in the class of service for the transfer and I see LDTA also which I believe is how disconnects are handled from the dialer.

My question is which hook flash timer does a line side use the one in the CDB or the one in CFR2 LD 97? Would the timers on the outbound route also come into play.

Second question is what does the disconnect guard timer relate to? Seems to be an Avaya term??

The failed transfers are always offsite. It works flawlessly onsite.

Use the LD97 value, since I suspect your line side T1s are in XPE (i.e. and IPE shelf)

The route timers would not cause a failed transfer. But the route disconnect controls would - if you have identified the failed transfers are only when certain routes are going to be used.

There is a good guide to the timers and disco controls here:
